Your Adventure Awaits in Clearwater, Florida
Clearwater, Florida is conveniently located just North of Tampa Bay. It should be fairly easy to get a reasonably priced flight into either Tampa International Airport (TPA) or into St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE). We are happy to pick you up from either airport.
All in town transportation (i.e. to and from the boat, the classroom, Wal-Mart, to and from any other group activity) is included in the program fee if you are utilizing our housing. Florida has so much to offer from the exciting theme parks of Orlando to the unprecedented beauty of the Florida Keys. This may be a good time for you and your family to enjoy Florida, since you will already be here! If you are staying with us over a weekend, because you are staying for consecutive weeks, there are plenty of nearby places to explore such as: Homosassa Wildlife Park, the Florida Everglades, Atlantic Coast diving, Northern Florida Keys, and many more
Summer Participant Lodging
Participant housing are fully equipped with kitchens and a washer and dryer for your use. Housing is same sex. All bedding, bath towels, and kitchenware are provided. The housing cost is $345 per week.
ONLY those people participating in the CMERA summer research program are allowed to stay in shared housing! Absolutely on one under the age of 18 is allowed to utilize our housing with NO EXCEPTIONS!
Housing is from Sunday night through the following Saturday morning. Students staying multiple weeks will also receive the Saturday night between consecutive weeks at no additional charge. You are not required to stay in our group housing, however, if you choose to stay elsewhere, you will be responsible for transportation to the group housing for transportation to and from the boat.
Housing payments are due prior to March 31, 2024.
