DEPOSITS

After three days of submitting an application and payment deposits and payments are non-refundable with the only exceptions being if you are not accepted into the program, the weeks you apply for are full, or if we cancel the weeks you apply for.


APPLICATIONS

All information within the application needs to be completed. A deposit or payment for each week you are attending must be submitted with the application if selecting Option #1. Options #2 & 3 must send in payment within 3 days of receiving the invoice.

All program fees for the early enrollment period becomes non-refundable three days after payment is made. You will have the option of deferring your weeks to the following summer if for some reason you cannot attend your scheduled weeks.



WEEKLY RATE INCLUDES:

All academic lectures, research sessions on the boats (water provided), one CMERA T-Shirt (Research Scientist for all 1-3 week participants, Chief Scientist for all 4-8 week participants and both a Chief Scientist and Shark Research Crew for 8 weeks and up), captains fees, fuel, and transportation to and from the Tampa (TPA) or St. Pete-Clearwater (PIE) airport, local bus or train station to the housing. Transportation from the housing to the classrooms and marina. Transportation to local grocery stores for food and other items.  Transportation from the student housing to the classrooms and marina are provided for all students staying in our housing. If you choose to stay in your own housing you must provide your own transportation.


AIRFARE, MEALS AND HOUSING NOT INCLUDED in the weekly program fees. Housing is available for an additional fee.


HOUSING

Housing is available for only $385 per week during the summer program and for early enrollment is due December 31, 2025. A discounted price is available at $345 per week for housing if payment is received prior to December 1, 2025. For late enrolment the price will be $385 due March 31, 2026. The housing will have a bed for each student, full kitchen, laundry and wifi. Students will check into housing at anytime Sunday at the beginning of their program and will check out Saturday at anytime at the end of their program. Of course participants are able to make their own lodging arrangements and stay with friends or family during the program; however, if you are not in group housing you are responsible for transportation to and from the group housing location for transportation to and from the boats and classrooms. 


TRANSPORTATION


Transportation to and from the airport, bus terminal, or other transit hub, to the student housing is included. Transportation to the boats, classrooms, shopping areas, group meals and other group activities are included with the housing.

Students not utilizing our housing will be required to have their own transportation to the boats and classroom.
